Teriyaki. There’s no better companion to you than rice and Panko breadcrumb. It is like a melody of angels from heaven. I think they’re called Cherubs… But I digress.

So I’ve tried making many teriyaki sauces throughout the year and some odd months ever since I’ve had my first bite of fatty tuna teriyaki. There have been a lot of failed dishes through trails and errors but this is by far the best recipe I have stumbled upon. Not to mention that it literally only takes a few minutes to prepare the sauce to marinate the tofu. I like to sit back and listen to some Jay Park or Avenged Sevenfold to pass the time. Or you could watch an episode of your favorite show rather than listening to some K-pop or metal.

Why did I choose tofu?

Well tofu is just simply delicious! I treat my tofu as steaks… Give it the right seasoning it can be the best dish you’ve ever had.

For this dish I recommend using firm tofu for the best texture and flavor. In the photographs I used Vitasoy’s multi-use tofu since I ran out of firm tofu at the time. I definitely preferred using firm tofu as it has a milder soybean flavor. The texture of the firm tofu when combined with the Panko breadcrumbs is like heaven sent! I can just hear the little Cherubs singing an Avenged Sevenfold song as they pour teriyaki sauce over the tofu.

Alright, enough with the drooling… Let’s get on with the recipe!!!
